Dr. Kristin Roberts, EA

Kris has almost thirty years’ experience in the field of accounting, taxation, and entrepreneurship. Earning her Doctor of Business Management degree, her field research focused on federal tax compliance for small businesses located in the state of Connecticut.

As an educator, Dr. Roberts served as Assistant Program Chair of the Accounting Department at The Malcolm Baldrige School of Business at Post University.  Kris’ love for teaching extends to her professional community as well.  She served as the Chair of the Education Committee for the CT Chapter of the National Association of Tax Professionals (NATP) for several years, before taking the position of President of the Chapter.  Kris also served as Vice-President for NATP’s national Board of Directors. She is a guest lecturer and speaker for a variety of professional and community organizations, including various Chambers of Commerce, SCORE, the Entrepreneurial Center of Northwest CT, and other state chapters of NATP.  Kris has authored a variety of tax related articles that have been published in the TaxPro Journal. Topics have included Taxation of Crowdfunding; First Time Delinquent Taxpayers; Casualty Losses; Profitability and Sustainability; and Partnership Dissolution.

Kris is a native of NW CT and currently lives in Winchester Center.  She is the proud mother of three grown sons and is the grandmother of eight.  When she is not working, she enjoys time with her family, listening to classic rock, live music, going on cruises, …and watching any Marvel movie!
